Welcome to Marioartts. I’m the one behind this project, creating my own illustrations and designs inspired by the world of anime. Although Dragon Ball is the backbone of my work, I’m passionate about taking it further by creating crossovers and original ideas with movies and video games, as well as paying tribute to other great stories in Japanese animation.

From school photocopies to more than 20 years of art
My journey with drawing began when I was just 8 years old, tracing photocopies of Dragon Ball that were circulating in the schoolyard onto paper. That passion for anime led me, at age 14, to enroll in the historic “La Llotja” School of Applied Arts and Crafts in Barcelona —at its Avinyó Street location, where Picasso himself was educated—.
For five years, I didn’t study manga style, but rather the academic foundations of fine arts, which allowed me to master anatomy, volume, and light in order to develop my own style. Upon graduating at age 19, I rounded out my training with courses in advertising graphic design and a master’s degree in 3D animation.
For two decades, I have dedicated myself professionally to the visual arts in all their facets: from corporate identities, merchandise for bands, and album covers, to 3D models for architecture and oil painting exhibitions.
In 2025, at age 41 and with all that accumulated experience, I asked myself a question: What would my Dragon Ball drawings look like today if I combined everything I’d learned over the past 20 years?
That’s how this new chapter began. I started creating and illustrating with an unusual level of detail, blending the anime universe with film and video games. The volume of work and the incredible response from the community have brought me here: a space where I can bring my art directly to your wall or your clothing.
